Pantonworld wishes all Verner Panton fans a happy new year! Here are some of the Panton design findings from 2018. I wonder what pops up in 2019?
Usually I only look for first edition pieces but I couldn’t resist a rare prototype in violet made by Vitra 2002.
A new cool piece for the collection showed up the other day but I haven´t had the time to show it until now. First I did not think this stool was a design by Verner Panton but a lot of details points to the direction this really is an “undiscovered Panton Stool” from 1967. […]
Some of the nearly 70 seatings in the Pantonworld collection. It is not easy to store them all in a good way but the plan is to take some of the chairs and arrange this place as a little exhibition. This room will be painted and there will be some sort of spotlights that lights […]
This special edition Panton Chair was kindly donated by a fellow Panton collector to the Pantonworld collection. I am really happy for it so thanks a lot! It comes out of a small serie of Panton Chairs from Vitra with different patterns. I will show you more about this later.
The Panton Chair is without a dubt Verner Panton most well known design. The next “new” piece in the collection I will show you is Verner’s own prototype / pre-serie chair for the Panton Chair made in 1967! I have seen another prototype /pre-serie chair in yellow/light orange wich also comes from Verner’s home, at […]
Today a friend picked up a this chair for me. It is a red Panton Chair from the third series (1971-79). This very one is an early Fehlbaum (Vitra) production Panton Chair from this serie, dated october 1971. I recently heard the Panton Chair was inspired by the tongue. It could makes sence. The chair […]
Some better pictures of the Panton Chair prototype for the 4:th edition 1998/99. Also some new pictures of the Panton Chair copy.
This chair is for sure not a fake or copy. It is actually a prototype for the fourth edition Panton Chair from Vitra and it has been in the home of a Vitra worker since they made it around 1998-99. According to the previous owner it was just a little too […]
A Panton fan in Düsseldorf sent me some pictures today. Here you have his new Amoeba Highback Chair from Vitra. If you have any pieces you want to share with others, please just send me an email and I will publish it here. You will be anonymous.
Just wanted to show you two pictures from a german fellow collector. This wall is absolutelly insane! I guess it has to be nearly 6 meters tall.
Some pictures of the PANTON CHAIRS from the pre-series 1967-68. Only 100 – 150 pieces were made due to the high cost of making them by hand. These early ones are molded with a fiber glas structure and painted by hand. The beige colour wich you see here never came into production. Herman Miller / […]
