The latest Verner Panton addition in the collection… A prototype version of the ”FUN 1 DM” lamp but here made with thicker transparant discs in acryl, where each disc is shaped in a sort of ”3-D like” pattern. The lamp has a metal bar in the top that hides the cord. Usually these lamps where […]

1961
The ”black issue” of the Mobila magazine from august 1961 shows almost the whole range of Verner Panton’s early design from Plus Linje and Unika Væv. Most of the design you see there were prototypes when they took those pictures. For example the ultra cool ”Trumpet Chair” – T6.One example of that chair is now […]
FRAMING DONE
Framing done! Love this “Berg” design from 1978. Only a few prototype prints was made with this cool design.
NEW WAVE PROTOTYPE
Just got a funny piece! This is a prototype for the New Wave wall/ceiling lamp. It was given to a man who worked with the artists at Holmegaard in the 80:ies. It is a bit larger and rounder compared to the serial produced version wich you see in the last pictures. It has also a […]
HAPPY NEW PANTON YEAR!
Pantonworld wishes all Verner Panton fans a happy new year! Here are some of the Panton design findings from 2018. I wonder what pops up in 2019?

1985 WING CHAIR PROTOTYPE
Today this prototype “Øreklapstol” (wing chair) arrived! It was built by Verner Panton and Erik Jørgensen in Erik´s furniture workshop 1985.
PANTON CHAIR PROTOTYPES
Another prototype Panton Chair for the collection. Both the beige and red chair below comes from the Panton Design Office.
VIOLET PROTOTYPE
Usually I only look for first edition pieces but I couldn’t resist a rare prototype in violet made by Vitra 2002.
CRAZY OBJECT
A little teaser of what I have been waiting for about 12 years to take over… can you see what it is?
INDIGO FABRIC
Another prototype fabric from Verner Panton. This was called “Indigo” and as you see in the edge, Verner´s co-worker dated it to the 6:th november 1977. As far as I know, this print never came to serial production.
PANTON STOOL PROTOTYPE
A new cool piece for the collection showed up the other day but I haven´t had the time to show it until now. First I did not think this stool was a design by Verner Panton but a lot of details points to the direction this really is an “undiscovered Panton Stool” from 1967. […]
