Maybe another carpet? This time a mega rare ”Optik” carpet in purple tones. The pattern was designed by Verner Panton in 1969 for Unika Vaev. It’s a kind of mix between a flat rug and a long pile rya. I have only seen this carpet once (an orange version) in an old picture from Verner’s […]

Next project… Probably one of the dirtiest projects for a long time (sorry my son)
GEOMETRI
Love the ”Geometry” patterns from Verner Panton. Here, a large rare ”Geometri V” axminster rug from 1960 together with an enamel table from 1966 with a matching pattern.
FLOWERPOTS
Verner Panton’s ”real” flowerpots from 1979. Brown in enamel and red in plastic. The table is a prototype Pantonova wire table from 1972. All three manufactured by J. Lüber.

BLUE PANTONIC CHAIR
I think this must be my new office chair! The Pantonic Chair was made by HÅG in Norway 1992. With the blue version I now have a serie with yellow, red, black and blue chairs.
HAPPY NEW PANTON YEAR!
Pantonworld wishes all Verner Panton fans a happy new year! Here are some of the Panton design findings from 2018. I wonder what pops up in 2019?
MAGENTA HALLWAY
Next room ready! This hallway goes outside the bedroom and they have now both the same color. On the wall you see an one-off prototype fabric in velour from ca 1978. The design is called “Conus”.
FLOWERPOTS FOR DINNER
Need to wash some Flowerpot lamps before mounting them into another formation.
WIRE SHELF
This wire shelf is probably not designed by Verner but could be a further development from one of the companies he worked for – the company X-Design in Denmark. This company did other wire objects very similar to this.
1983 PROTOTYPE FABRICS
These four prototype fabrics from the 1983 Orbit Collection comes from a co-worker to Verner Panton.
