I got sunny regards from Glenn the dog in Switzerland.
Verner Panton
NEW FABRIC TODAY
This showed up today. The biggest version of the “Circle” fabric in multicolour. Really a nice fabric and this was what I needed to have all the different Mira Spectrum fabrics in the biggest pattern in multicolour as framed fabrics.
CIRCUS BUILDING LAMPS
A friend just picked up these four Pan-Top lamps from 1980. The thing that makes these lamps very special are the colours. It also tells where they have been. There were no serial produced yellow or pink lamps like this. The only place that had these special coloured lamps was the Circus building in […]
CIRCUS BUILDING CHAIR
Another new piece for the Pantonworld collection. Here you can see one of the chairs from the Circus Building in Copenhagen 1980. The upholstery fabric is actually the same as for the older Plus Linje furniture.
OFFSET PRINT
Some better pictures of this rare MIRA-X offset print. It measures 62,5 x 62,5 cm with the printed area of 58,5 x 58,5 cm. I have seen this type of print some times but I actually don´t know the story behind it. It is usually framed so it could either be some sort of museum […]
RARE PRINT
This rare Verner Panton offset print came today. It is mounted in a broken frame but the print it self seems to be in good condition. The pattern is from Verners design for Mira-X 1969 and shows kvadrats in different sizes and colours. The size of the print is 62,5 x 62,5 cm.
PANTON IN DANISH TV
Verner Panton – et dansk ikon | TV | DR https://www.dr.dk/tv/se/verner-panton/verner-panton-et-dansk-ikon WOW! This was really a cool reportage about the one and only – Verner Panton. It is over 40 minutes long.
CONGRATULATIONS NORWAY
It is today the norweigian National Day so here comes a picture from Norway. This very chair (early version of the Wire Cone K2) was a gift from Plus Linje to the owner of the Astoria Hotel in the early 60:ies. The same chair was exhibited at the Myresjö Pavillion in the spring 1960. You […]
PANTON GATE LAMPS
Verner Panton´s own gate lamps. They are totally unique and were specially designed by Verner for the house in Binningen between 1972-87. After that, they were replaced with the ones you see in the last picture above (with me in front of the gate). The base is enamelled steel and the large cupole are made […]
MIRROR SCULPTURE
New pictures of the Mirror Sculpture that Verner designed 1965. The american company Beylerian had it for sale in the 70:ies.
WALL ELEMENT
This wall element comes from the Visiona 2 exhibition in Cologne 1970. A full room was covered but as far as I know this is the only remaining piece.
PANTONOVA TABLE
New pictures of the round prototype Pantonova table that did not reach production. It was in J. Lübers catalogue from 1972 but for some reason it was never put into production and they had to call the catalogue back.
