NEW CARPET TO PANTONWORLD
This Geometri 1 carpet came today. It is Verner Pantons earliest carpet from 1960. This is the larger model and it measures 228×228 cm:s. It would need a careful wash but it was in better condition than I expected. All three tags on the backside where […]
PANTOP TABLE LAMP
This Pantop table lamp arrived today. I was told this lamp was from Louis Poulsen wich means it would be an old one. When I got it, it says Frandsen Lighting under it so it is clearly a re-edition from the company that later became Verpan. It is very similar to the first version […]
CIRCUS BUILDING
Not many original Verner Panton interiors are left in the world but here is one place where you still can see some items left – “Circusbygningen” in Copenhagen, Denmark. Unfortunatelly it was closed when I was there. (Just as the latest 10 times I have tried to go in and have a […]
COPENHAGEN APPARTEMENT
I had to go by Verner Panton’s former appartement at Toldbofgade in Copenhagen. The coloured blinds, a white Panthella lamp and a Fun 1 lamp is still visible in there. I haven’t seen the exterior of this place earlier. Here you can see the interior pictures from when Marianne and Verner Panton lived there: http://www.verner-panton.com/spaces/archive/phase/695/
UNIKA VAEV CURTAINS
I bought something else from the Unika Væv lady in Copenhagen – Eleven lenghts of yellow/orange curtains in wool. The colour is very vibrant. She bought them from Unika Væv over 50 years ago.
UNIKA VAEV FABRICS
When we were in Denmark I found a nice lady who worked at Unika Væv about 50 years ago! I bought these table cloths and napkins from her. The pattern, “Spectrum” is designed by Rolf Middelboe 1950-55. It is the same fabric design that was used in this Unika Væv showroom in Stockholm […]
COOLEST FABRIC
At last! This is a fabric I have been looking for the nearest 10 years. This is a mega rare Anatomie “Hand” fabric from the first production 1968. I earlier missed this fabric to have all the anatomic designs made in both the original version in Dralon fabric and the later re-editions made […]
CIRKUS BUILDING LAMPS
Two pink and two yellow small Pantop lamps from the Circus building in Copenhagen are now in the Pantonworld collection as well. There are still lamps like this hanging in there. I will soon show you better pics from my camera. Here is just a quick picture I took through the winows with my mobile […]
CIRCUS BUILDING CHAIRS
By a coincidence we went into a second hand shop and found a big set of Circus building seats! I bought three sets to have with four others chairs I already have from the Circus buiding. The best thing was that these seats were almost “for free”. I paid 400 DKK for three […]
XXL MIRA TULLE
Next piece from the danish trip. A giant tulle curtain in orange. The seller had earlier bought this in a flea market in Germany. It measures 306 x 617 cm (!).
CURVE I
This framed fabric, “Curve I” in blue came with us from Denmark as well.
