We also picked up another lamp we bought some time ago – one more of these rare lamps made for the exhibition “Design Iscenesat” at Gammel Strand in Copenhagen 1992. Dansk Akrylteknik only made 37 lamps for Verner Panton with this design.

1-2-3 CONFERENCE CHAIR
I will here start to show you the pieces we brought home from Denmark. First up is this 1-2-3 chair from Fritz Hansen. It was smaller than expected but I realised it was the “Conference model”. Some wear but it has probably never been used to sit on. The original tag was […]
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY
Today is my girlfriend’s birthday. We are spending it at the best of places – at the Verner Panton suite at Hotel Alexandra in Copenhagen. I will show you more pictures of this fantastic place when we are back home.
PANTON COLLECTOR IN NY
A fellow Panton collector in New York sent me some pictures of his appartement. Really nice to see! If you have anything you can share here at the Pantonworld blog please let me know. You will be anonymous. I estimate there are up to about 200 unique readers to this blog every day – […]
FOUR MORE TOPAN SPOTLIGHTS
Today four more Topan spotlights arrived. I liked the first one so much that I bought the whole remaining stock. I will use these to light up enamel and fabric panels.
FABRIC FRAMES
50 framed Panton fabrics and about 30 carpets (behind the matress) are now better arranged in the attic.
LIVING TOWER MOVE
This is probably the most difficult move I have ever done… Our aubergine room will be rebuilt so I moved some things to the attic. The Living Tower was separated into two parts and there was about 1 cm on each side to lift it up through the stairway – after I removed the […]
TABLE WIRE LAMP
Also this rare lamp came today. A small table version of the Wire Lamp by J. Lüber.
TOPAN SPOTLIGHT
Two lamps showed up today. First up is this special spotlight version of the Topan lamp from Louis Poulsen. You can adjust the angle of light by a special mounting on top of the lamp. Very cool!
DER SPIEGEL TABLE COVER
Today I got a souvenir from the book shop at Der Spiegel publishing house at their original location. It is a kind of table cover that you should put on a round table to get a similar table as the ones at Der Spiegel kantine. It measures 70 cm in diameter. The previous owner bought […]
EMALCO
Another cool thing that arrived today is this heavy enamel broschure holder from the early 70:ies. Emalco was the company who made all Verner Pantons enamel work such as Flowerpot lamps, wall panels, tables and more. Before 1971 the company was named Emaillerie Corgemont so this has to be from when they changed name […]
EARLY FABRICS
Today two early Verner Panton fabric designs showed up. First we have a “Polette” curtain from Unika Væv 1965. The pattern are inverted when seeing it from behind. The white fabric “En” (means “One”) are made by Vereinigte Werkstätten in München, Germany 1963.
