This luminous wall element was made as a prototype for the Visiona 2 exhibition. It took me some time to realize it was a lamp not only a wall panel. Verner used green / dark green wall elements at Visiona 2. Unfortunatelly all of them were destroyed afterwards according to Marianne Panton so you can […]
Verner Panton
COOL LIGHT
When the sun goes up in the morning, the light hits the chromed SP2 with a reflection from the floor.
PANTON PROTOTYPES
Just wanted to share some pictures from our attic.
WHITE BALL LAMP
The white Ball lamp matched really good with the UFO-lamp. It is still little dirty but I will have it cleaned soon.
UPDATED WALL
Verner Panton´s door sign from 1949 is now up besided the set of enamel panels.
EARLIEST PANTON PIECE
Here is the first picture of something I have tried to get some time now… Verner Panton´s door sign from 1949! It is probably the earliest piece I will ever find in context of Verner Panton´s design. This 65 year old door sign were used at Verner Panton´s studio at “Strandpromenaden” in Copenhagen. Verner was […]
ENAMEL PANELS
Today I hanged some Skarridsø enamel panels over the stairwells to the “red room”. These panels are orange, red and blue. I used the same coloured Topan lamps to lit them up.
PAINTING FOREVER
I just moved some items back in the basement. I will probably paint the red colours some more times. It doesn´t cover good and even though I have 4 layers already, probably one or two more will be needed. Also the floor need some extra paint. The only problem… I am so tired of painting […]
BALL LAMP CLEANING
I have just started to clean the latest Ball lamp. It is not very easy with this model Type H. The strings are quite short so you can not lift the balls to clean between them.
RED ROOM
Hopefully, the red area in the basement will be finished painted before this weekend. It is strange but you have to paint about 5-6 times to cover the walls with this vibrant red paint. The colour is the same as before but it will be super matte surface this time. I also putted boards over […]
BEHIND THE SCENES
A friend of me just gave me these photos from when he and his familly was visiting the Vitra Museum in Weil am Rhein, Germany. They have now “Revisiting the future” wich is a “behind the scenes”-exhibition of the “Visiona 2”- exhibition in 1970. I especially like the floorplan of the “Bayer boat”. This plan […]
