Another prototype fabric from Verner Panton. This was called “Indigo” and as you see in the edge, Verner´s co-worker dated it to the 6:th november 1977. As far as I know, this print never came to serial production.
Month: September 2017
SMALL WAVE FABRIC
I have never seen the Wave pattern in a small version before. It was one of the few prints I missed in the collection to have all versions of the classical multicolor prints from the 70:ies – in the sizes small, medium and large.
DRAWING BY VERNER
A cool drawing by Verner Panton from the late 70:ies. The notes are instructions to one of his co-worker wich also asks back if they should go for it. I assume this is a first sketch for the Deconova fabric wich was a further development of the Wave fabric from 1973.
TURQUOISE ADJUSTEMENTS
The lamps, the carpet and the Pantonova sofa are now adjusted a little better in the turquoise room.
ORIGINAL SHELL CEILING
I was on a little “Pantour” last weekend… This place was one of the things I checked out. The original musselshell ceiling from the Panton famillie´s residence in Binningen is lend out to the Kunsthalle Basel for the coming years. When checking the ceiling closer I also beleive some ceiling panels might be from their […]
SOME NEW PIECES
I haven’t had the time to show new pieces for a while but here you have some pictures. First up is a late Mira-X fabric and then you see a medium sized Pantop table lamp from 1980. This with a matte silver shade. The orange round spotlights are called Globespots and were made by Louis […]
KIDS BALOON FIGHT
If you think it is calm and quite at Pantonworld, here is some scenes from an ordinary evening… Thank you Carina at the paint shop “Caparol” in Gothenburg for helping me with all the Panton wall colors and giving Otis, Leo and Otis baloons.
COOL VIEW
Since we live high up, the landscape is quite shifting depending of wich side of the house you look out from. The kids have a rainbow in their room and in the same time Sophia watches the sun go down in the ocean on the other side.
STRAIGHT FORMATION
This straight formation of Flowerpot lamps has four lamps in a raw attached from a stainless steel bar. The setup was custom made 1975, for a house north of Stockholm, by the swedish agent for Verner Panton’s design. The sofa actually comes from the same agents home so I think it’s fun those objects come […]
TYPE B FORMATION
At last! The Flowerpot cluster Type B is ready and up.
LUMINOUS WALL ELEMENT
Blue and yellow prototype for the “Luminous Wall Element” made ca 1969. It has been several later made copies around but this is one of two originals still existing. This panel is attached in a box of mirrors to duplicate the panels when you look inside this box. The blue and yellow panel was the […]
ASHTRAY FROM DER SPIEGEL
Some more pictures of the medium sized ashtray in green-grey enamel that arrived yesterday. The ashtray belonged to a co-worker at Der Spiegel in Hamburg. I haven’t seen this color before but know each floor of the publishing house had one main color.
