PANTON’S CURTAINS
Today was a really interesting day! Just picked up some pairs of different curtains from an appartement in Copenhagen. They have hanged here since the 70:ies when Verner Panton’s brother lived here! I also got the original curtain rod in a golden finish. Earlier it was also a red wall-to-wall carpet in the bedroom and […]
FLOWERPOT CLUSTER
At last! Everything is connected and up. Some small adjustments are left and the ceiling panels need to be back on place but at last some light over the dining table.
ADJUSTING
Just started to adjust the 10 Flowerpot lamps for a cluster. We are not sure how high the Flowerpot lamps shall hang but we will try different heights and check against surrounding patterns. Also if possible to see eachother under it…
HANGING
Something from outher space is sucking up our table. I now realise the incredible work they must have gone through with a complete restaurant with these Flowerpot clusters hanging through an enamel ceiling. I will take a break for today and continue tomorrow – hopefully with light in the lamps.
AVALON HOTEL IN GÖTEBORG
A lot of Verner Panton’s Cone Chair at Avalon Hotel in Göteborg, Sweden.
PYRAMID LAMP IN RED
This tall red Pyramid lamp is also new. I can’t tell for sure it is designed by Panton but it looks very much like Verner’s prototype lamp in white next to it.
CONE STOOL
Another find for the collection. A leather imitation Cone stool from Frem Røjle. I will change the seating into a similar as the stool.
LUNA FABRICS
Some new fabrics wich I missed for the collection came today – This pattern is called Luna, or “Mira-Lunar” as the name was in the USA (was that name a translation-misstake?). I will actually sell some of these since I got several of them so please let me know if you are interested. The pictures […]
LIGHT SCULPTURES
After an hour of carfully removing some plates I manage to put in new lamp bulbs in these prototypes from 1981. They are so cool!
TURQUOISE ROOM
Some pictures taken by a camera from the turquoise room at Pantonworld.
LAST LAYER OF ORANGE
The fourth and last layer of orange paint is done. I don’t want to see orange paint for a while now…
