Some years ago, I bought a set of very rusty wire cubes in Denmark. I thought they were the chromed models from FRITZ HANSEN so I started to clean and polish them… For a loooong time… They did not get very shiny. I recently realised that these have never been chromed! Ehhh… ok much work […]

AUGSBURG CONGRESS HALL
A man sent me some pictures of the Congress hall in Augsburg. He had seen that they had a large PANTONOVA SOFA in the foajé. Some days later, I looked through Fritz Hansens catalogue from the 70:ies with VERNER PANTON:s Pantonova sofa. Look what I founded… A picture from the same place! But then it […]
DOUBLE CURTAIN GLIDERS
Recently, I mounted new curtain gliders in the ceiling of the AUBERGINE ROOM. I have borrowed an idea that were often used with Pantons and Mira-X curtains in the 70:ies. I putted two gliders next to each other. I will use transparant curtains in the front and thick velour curtains in the back. Then I […]
“SPHERICAL PEOPLE”
Our twins, OTIS and LEO would like to show you another cool fabric that Verner designed in the 70:ies. It is the “SPHERICAL PEOPLE” -fabric in multicolour. First, in 1970, he made this “people -installation” with chromed balls that were hanging in thin fishinglines from the ceiling. Then he made this fabric. He also made […]
MORE FAKE PANTON / HORLACHER PANELS AROUND
I have from time to time seen a lot of fake HORLACHER / PANTON plastic panels on different auction houses and on ebay. Since I have checked with Marianne Panton regarding this, I have learned that Verner made prototype panels in YELLOW/BLUE. He also made GREEN / DARK GREEN panels for the VISIONA 2 exhibition. […]
A SUPERCOOL FABRIC
VERNER PANTON did a lot of cool fabric prints. A really special one is this “photographic print”… THE ROSE from the TRATTO 1 series made by MIRA-X in 1980. I have seen similar patterns on fabrics, in a movie from the exhibition VISIONA 0 in 1968. I guess he created it back then and MIRA-X […]
KITCHEN UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Sorry for not updated the blog for a while. I have been busy repairing our very old kitchen. The ceiling was earlier lowered 25 cm:s and there were also a wall in the kitchen. I have taken it all down so now I try to repair all the old wooden panel. You will see it […]
AT LAST… THE PLUS LINJE CONE STOOL
The seating for my PLUS-LINJE CONE STOOL has now arrived. After some work to get the fabric and cushion on the metal frame, it now looks like this! My refurnishment is not perfect and the chair still have some spots but that is totally ok when you think this chair is 50 years old. It […]
GEOMETRI 1 CARPET TO PANTONWORLD
Today, I received this cool carpet! It is a GEOMETRI 1 wall-to-wall carpet in red and orange. I have never seen it before in this colour. The size is 155 x 75 cm. Unika Væv made it in 1960. It goes very well with the “See through curtains” from the same year.
MIRA-X MEMORIES
I guess you haven’t seen this before… Velour-roses in multicolour! And a MIRA-X folder with a really cool showroom on the cover… There are 50 colours on the pieces of wall-to-wall carpets on the floor. I guess this picture is from the 70:ies. After 1980, Verner Panton/ MIRA-X had 86 colours in their colour […]
HAPPY STOOL
If you follow my blog, you have probably seen that I was looking for some fabrics to repair my PLUS LINJE STOOL. First, it was covered with IKEA fabrics from the 80:ies but when I carefully removed the fabrics I saw original orange UNIKA VÆV fabrics under it. It was just one problem… The seating […]
