In 1964 VERNER PANTON designed a serie of shell lamps – the FUN lamps.
They were produced by J. LÜBER in Switzerland.
There are in total 14 models from FUN 0 to FUN 14.
All of them were made as ceiling lamps but some were also made as wall, table or floor lamps.
The numbers in the names came from when they were sketched by PANTON / LÜBER.
That means that “FUN 0 DM” was the first one and “FUN 14 DM” was the last one designed.
There is one lamp missing if you see all the names in a row.
The “FUN 9 DM” was only made as a sketch.
Not even a prototype were made of it. It looked too much like the FUN 1 DM.
I hope to see that skecth some day.
Regarding the letters in the end of the names:
“DM” stands for DECKEN MONTAGE = CEILING LAMP
“WM” stands for WAND MONTAGE = WALL LAMP
“TM” stands for TISHLEUCHTE = TABLE LAMP
“STM” stands for STEHLEUCHTE = FLOOR LAMP
“DA” means that the discs are made in ALUMINIUM
