I have now started to clean these two gigantic gate lamps in enemel and acrylic glass. They are totally unique and were specially designed by Verner Panton for the famillys house in Binningen between 1972-87. Verner made only two lamps but a spare shade was also saved from the time.

One acryl shade has been destroyed so the spare shade is now on the place for the first one. The more yellow shade you see is one of the two that was out there for many years and the more clear one is the spare shade. The enamel bases is the very ones you see on the pictures from their garden.

The lamps are much bigger than you first think. Each lamp is 65 cm in diameter and over 70 cm:s tall. The lamp bulb in my pictures have a diameter of 9 cm:s but I guess 12,5 cm is the best suited for them.
