NEXT ROOM
The next room to fix… The plan is to cover the five meter wide wall with enamel panels but I need one more panel to get 24 panels (3 x 8 panels together). 8 panels in a raw is just perfect – It is about 1 cm left on each side. I moved everything out […]
LONG LAMP
A chromed “SP1” Spiral Lamp with extra long threads arrived today. This very lamp was bought in 1971 and the previous owner have had it in their vaccation appartement since then. The condition is like new, even after 45 years. It measures 140 cm tall and it’s the first time I have seen this longer […]
FIRST LAYER OF ORANGE
The next room to paint will be orange. And again, 6 layers are probably needed… Daahhh!
1965 OPTIK FABRIC
Today I also got a hold of a rare piece of fabric from 1965. The pattern is called OPTIK and this pieces comes from Verner Panton´s co-worker in Denmark during the sixties when they were working for Unika Vaev and Plus Linje.
MOBILIA MAGAZINES
17 old Mobilia magazines with Verner Panton´s interior showed up today.
TYPE G IN DAYLIGHT
[2jslideshow id=”35631″] Some more pictures of the Type G Ball lamp in daylight.
BLUE BALL LAMP
Now the Typ G lamp has found it´s original length of 140 cm again. Next step is to clean the lamp and adjust the lamp holders.
TWIN CHAIR
The world’s best furniture for videogames when you are twins, the 3D-carpet from 1969. Here you see some more pictures from the newly painted aubergine and red room at Pantonworld.
PROTOTYPE FABRIC
Another prototype fabric for the collection wich comes from one of Verner Panton´s closest co-worker. The pattern is Verner Panton´s classical pattern “Curve II” but this is printed with a lacque print on a thinner fabric so the colours gets stronger.
ENAMEL PANELS
A set of three sun yellow/orange Geometri panels. This room will perhaps be orange later but we start like this since we like the original wall paper from 1967 – the same years as these enamel panels came out on the market. These very panels are prototypes from 1966 and were given to the photographer […]
REDRUM
Trying different lamp settings in the red room…
