The ceiling plate is now up. If I place this gigantic formation of lamps in the red room permanent, the ceiling plate will be red but so far I just need a place to start hanging all the 33 lamps. I will clean all parts and also put black fabric cords so the can hang from the plate in a formation. The four lamps you see hanging here just give you a hint of how it could look in the end. I moved all parts to the TURQUISE ROOM in the meantime. That will be the “workshop” for the cleaning. The next step will be to get the cords. You will be updated.
The big ceiling plate for the “TYP D-project” is back from the painter. I can´t really decide wich colour I will have it in so it will be white to start with. It depends a bit of wich room it will be in. Verner used the same colour as the ceiling for his. We will see. The next step is to get black fabric cords. Not all my lamps have complete cords so I guess it is best to change them all for this project.
Above are the latest pictures from the Flowerpot cluster projekt ” Type D”.
Here you can see how the Flowerpot project goes…
The top plate is attached and I have taken one piece out so I can use this as a holder for the whole set.
I will attach the smaller piece to the ceiling so I can just fit the big plate around it. Then turn it a bit so it stays up.
There is now also an wider edge around the plates. It will also help everything to be a bit stronger.
I have one small piece left but will save that for tomorrow.
Then I just hope everything holds for 33 chromed Flowerpots…
The bottom plate is now attached to some higher pieces of wood, using glue and screws. It was earlier a bit to tight to arrange with the 33 cables that will come up through all the small holes.
I will now attach the top plate as well.
The plate will be 8 cm:s tall and about 100 cm:s in diameter when the edge is on.
I might do the plate just a little higher to be able to get my hands in there when installing the 33 lamps.
I plan to build a cluster of 33 small chromed Flowerpot lamps into a formation called “Type D”.
You can see it in the original drawing from Louis Poulsen above.
