THE FLYING PANTON CARPET IN OSLO
My “Geometri VI” carpet is on vaccation in Norway… It seems like it has learned some tricks there! It is borrowed to an exhibition about the norweigian designer Sven Ivar Dysthe at Nasjonalmuseet in Oslo. You can there see Dysthes furniture for Dokka Møbler 1960/62. The exhibition will be there from the 4:th of may […]
BLUE ACRYLIC VASE
I got this blue acrylic vase from a friend that bought it in a norweigian fleemarket. I can not really tell if it is the vase in acrylic glass that Verner Panton made for Plus Linje in 1961. The colour is exactly the one that Verner used later for the FRUIT BOWL in 1985. The […]
PANTON FOR SENIORS
YES! Ehhh…
MISS SIXTY II
A new lamp arrived today. “MISS SIXTY II” was designed by Verner Panton 1985 for Royal Copenhagen. Verners work from the 60:ies and 70:ies are more my style but it could be fun to collects some from this “late” serie anyway. I have the similar lamp “MISS SIXTY III” since earlier (you see them both […]
PANTON AT BARNKANALEN
I just saw the interior at the swedish children channel BARNKANALEN… Verner Panton’s HEART CONE CHAIR!
HOMEMADE POSTER
A friend sent me a picture of his homemade Panton poster. He makes this for himself and just for fun but it looks pretty cool!
MULTICOLOURED CONES
This multicoloured CONE fabric with a beautiful pink background arrived today. I will make a frame with it. The width is 115 cm.
BLUE SPIRAL LAMPS
Here comes some new pictures of the blue SP1 in special colors. Verners blue SPIRAL LAMPS from the VISIONA 2 exhibition had lighter spirals near the center compared to the later produced lamps that went out to stores. My lamp would need a set of dark purple 50 cm spirals and 8 turquise […]
FRUIT BOWL BY DANSK AKRYL TEKNIK
Here are some better pictures of the acrylic FRUIT BOWL. The size is 51,5 x 44,5 x 10 cm wich is the largest version made. Blue was Verners favorite colour and this bowl comes from the first edition 1988 by DANSK AKRYLTEKNIK.
PANTON KITCHEN BY KVIK
The danish company KVIK has just released their new kitchen collection “VERNER PANTON BY KVIK”. KVIK sent me the pictures above where you can see the four different colours available. The pattern “GEOMETRI 1” is one of Verner Pantons most famous designs and it was originally designed for the ASTORIA HOTEL AND RESTAURANT in Trondheim, […]
THE WIRE EFFECT
I just remember Verner Pantons idea of the wire furniture. They were designed so you should see the people in them. When I see these chairs in front of the Astoria fabric (wich is quite intense to say the least) you can really see the seating “pop out”. I can imagine it would look totally […]
