THE BIRTH OF THE FLOWERPOT LAMP

When I spooke to the MIRA-X co-ordinator, he explained how the famous FLOWERPOT LAMP came to life.

VERNER PANTON had an order to make a candleholder for small candles in 1968.

He came up with the idea of the FLOWERPOT lamp without any electrical parts.

Because it was in enamel, it would tolerate the heat.

In the presentation of the lamp, Poul Henningsen was there and they all decided to use a light bulb instead of candles.

It became a great success!
