The electric is working!

After examining the cords I would say this lamp was first hanged somewhere where it was directly attached to the ceiling. When removed they cut the cord just below the ceiling plate (the top cord is a little short) and hanged it somewhere else, probably in this house with the extra round panel around.

Then I guess they have had the lamp bulbs a little too high up for the last 48 years… the light will strike your eyes like this so I will replace the top cord.
