SALAMI CHAIR PROTOTYPE

Here comes a little preview of what is coming to Panton World. As you see I have only got the cushions so far but the chromed metal frame is coming in some time.

This furniture is one of the best looking Panton furnitures I have seen.  Really a rare piece. It is a prototype version of the Salami Chair!

Verner Panton designed this upholstered easy chair in 1966. A small serie was made by Dux Möbel in Germany but I haven´t seen any of these except from pictures. This prototype has a lot of similarities to even earlier chairs from 1963: http://www.verner-panton.com/furniture/archive/phase/1697/

The backrest is lower at the prototype and the seems are vertical on the arm cushions.
This prototype is made in the Panton Design Studio and then it was used by Marianne and Verner Panton until they moved from the spectacular house in Binningen, Basel in Switzerland.

You can here also see a certificate of authenticity from Marianne Panton for the chair.
