Some weeks ago, I was contacted by a danish lady. Her mother was a friend of Verner Panton in the 60:ies and 70:ies. They lived next to the Varna restaurant in Århus, Denmark.

Besides spending many dinners at the Varna restaurant, Verner gave her mother a present. He gave her these multicoloured curtains and made the design for a sauna in their house!

The old lady never used the sauna and the curtains hanged in the dark from 1970 until just some years ago.

Now I got them for my RED ROOM. They are still a bit too long. I just tried to hang them up as a test first. I am sure they will look fantastic when all curves are perfectly matched and they hang “free”.
